Four leading technology companies recognized at annual member conference

Oakbrook Terrace, Ill. (Vocus/PRWEB ) August 21, 2008 — The Computing Technology Industry Association (CompTIA) has recognized four companies at the forefront of technology innovation for their product, sales and marketing strategies.

Intel, McAfee, Websense, and Xerox won best of show awards at Breakaway, the annual conference for CompTIA members held earlier this month in Orlando, Fla. Breakaway is the information technology (IT) industry’s premier education, networking and partnering event. Some 1,200 IT industry leaders attended this year’s conference.

Winners of the CompTIA Breakaway Best of Show awards were selected based on the voting of more than 225 VIP value-added resellers and technology solution providers who attended the conference.

Intel Corporation, Santa Clara, Calif., the world leader in silicon innovation and developer of technologies, products and initiatives to continually advance how people work and live, won awards for Best Product: Hardware and the overall Best of Show honor.

McAfee, Inc., Santa Clara, Calif., the leading dedicated security technology company, won the Breakaway award for Best Presentation.

Xerox Corporation, Norwalk, Conn., the world’s leading document management technology and services enterprise, won two awards; for Best Solutions Sales Strategy and Best Channel Strategy.

Websense, Inc., San Diego, Calif., the technology leader in integrated Web security, email security and data loss prevention solutions, won the Breakaway best of show award for Best Product: Software.
